Worldwide Rail Journeys (WRJ) welcomes the royal train tours season of 2017-18 with the ultimate luxury train — Royal Rajasthan on Wheels — which is all set to leave its maiden name and now be known as the Palace on Wheels, one of the pioneers of luxury trains in India. Reportedly, the existing luxury-laden rake of the former will be turned into the new Palace on Wheels, which will run on the same route as the earlier version of the train. However, the old rake of the Palace on Wheels will continue to trail through a shorter heritage route. The latter recently took over Royal Rajasthan on Wheels and will now run as a flagship project for Indian Railways and Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation (RTDC). The refurbished version of the train will provide a much richer travel experience with wider cabin space and unique interiors.
